ASI is based in Auckland, New Zealand and the KAHU is the
first gyroplane model it has manufactured. The founder of
the company is Chris Wade who developed a fascination for

What next?
Following full certification of the first aircraft we will
be establishing an assembly facility with the aim of gaining
full New Zealand CAA "Type Certification" for the
Kahu gyroplane.
During this process we will be producing several variations
on the base model aimed at niche markets:
- Sports
recreational
- Agricultural
- Patrol/Surveillance
Finally,
a 4-seater gyroplane is also on the drawing board. Once ASI
have the production process refined for the KAHU and WADEAero
engine, and the customers are all happy, then we will get
the drawing off the board and into a prototype.
